Behind the Music
Radion6The story of “A Rusty Kingdom” connected with me for many reasons — First, I am a Dutchman myself. I’m close to the North Sea, and it was the first body of water I ever saw. But, most importantly, I felt connected to the story as an artist. I strongly identified with the idea of Sealand as an island for everyone built out of a dream, love and passion, because that’s what I always strive to achieve with my music.
As such, my music for this project expresses the emotions I felt in certain situations or at special points in time. I want my music to help people step into the moment and forget about their daily problems and difficult situations they may be going through. By getting into a trance or just simply entering into a more beautiful and happy state of mind, listeners will be able to better deal with their struggles.
